I took the first images to this odd-looking macaque during 2007. Eight years later, I’ve been returned to Indonesia, on assignment for National Geographic, to document the plight of the Sulawesi crested-black macaque (Macaca nigra). Today, I’m very pleased to announce that the story is finally published in the March issue of the Magazine. I’ll never forget what I’ve seen and photographed during this assignment. Take a look to the images and you’ll understand.
